Description
NiePOoRTland twins: Ruby Dum and Tawny Dee. Identical siblings born in the Douro. With time, Ruby Dum retains its youthful, strong character, dominated by red cherries and plums with great freshness from ageing in large wooden vats in the cool cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. Tawny Dee acquires great wisdom and subtleness through ageing in small old oak casks exhibiting discrete characters of dried stone fruits.
Niepoort Tawny Dee, with an average age of three and a half years, originates from low yielding vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Douro Valley. The grapes are predominantly trodden in lagares, prior to ageing in small old oak casks. Brick red/tawny in colour, with delicate nutty aromas and a hint of dried fruits. On the palate, very well balanced with a youthful fruity, luscious character, which integrates well with a long spirity finish.

Online and Mail Order Purchases
We hope that you will enjoy your Steep Hill Wines purchase, but if you find it unsuitable or you are not entirely satisfied, please ensure that you notify us 01522 544737 or by email at enquiries@steephillwines.com to enable us to process your return. All such notification should take place within 28 days, to enable us to accept them for a refund. Replacement or refund will not be made until the original item has been returned to us unused and undamaged in their original packaging.
We cannot give refunds in the following cases:
- Items returned after 28 days.
- Damaged items not notified by telephone to us within 3 days.
Goods returned are at your own expense. We recommend that you use Recorded Delivery or a Courier so that you have proof of despatch.
